Earning 1 Core Competency and .50 Resource Development CCEUs

This presentation is designed to offer coaches an experience of working with a variety of poems (and poets) that they can offer their clients as a way to invoke, evoke and provoke. Coaches will be provided several poems that are relevant to coaching, given a brief background on the poet, and offered ways that they might incorporate the poem into a coaching engagement. This program supports the Core Competencies of creating awareness and facilitating growth.

Learning Objectives:

• Identify poems that they can use with their coaching clients
• Describe a process for when and how to offer a poem to a client
• Describe a methodology (poetry) for expanding clients’ awareness and facilitating growth
