Before the Decision is an experiential coaching lab designed to help coaches work skillfully in the moment that matters most—the space just before a choice is made. Rather than focusing on tools or outcomes, this session centers on presence, awareness, and inquiry, inviting participants to slow down and engage with what is emerging beneath urgency, confidence, or certainty.
Participants will explore the internal dynamics that shape decisions through guided reflection, live demonstration, and paired coaching practice. Coaches will be invited to notice assumptions, emotions, and values as they surface, and to practice staying present without rushing toward resolution. Newer coaches will gain structure and confidence in holding reflective space, while experienced coaches will deepen their ability to work with subtle cues, silence, and tension.
The session blends brief framing with immersive practice, ensuring a balanced mix of presentation and active participation. Coaches will leave with a direct, embodied experience of discernment they can apply immediately in their coaching conversations, particularly when clarity, restraint, and trust are essential.
In this session you will:
??Identify the “before the decision” moment—the internal space where awareness, assumptions, and values surface prior to action.
??Practice staying present and slowing down in moments of uncertainty or pressure, rather than defaulting to reactive or habitual responses.
??Apply coaching presence and inquiry to support clearer, more intentional choices for themselves or others in high-stakes situations.
About our presenter:
Christine Iannucci is a leadership coach, facilitator, and former Chief People Officer who partners with leaders navigating complexity, pressure, and meaningful change. With more than two decades of experience across startups, high-growth companies, and established organizations, she works closely with executives and founders at moments when leadership feels heavier—and when a deeper, more intentional way forward is needed.
Christine’s coaching supports leaders on a transformational journey—one that asks them to slow down, get honest, and choose deliberately rather than react on autopilot. Her clients are often capable, driven, and outwardly successful, yet sensing a quiet misalignment between who they are, how they’re leading, and what this season of leadership is asking of them. Together, they focus on confidence without bravado, courage without performance, and leadership that holds both clarity and care.
Her approach blends evidence-based frameworks from organizational development, emotional intelligence, and intentional change theory with real-world executive experience. Christine is completing her Master of Leadership & Organizational Change at Case Western Reserve University and holds professional coaching credentials through the International Coaching Federation. She’s known for creating a steady, human coaching space—one where leaders can think clearly, tell the truth, and move forward with integrity on the path they’re choosing.
